From the writing challenge Blogging from A – Z Challenge for the month of April.
I decided to pick a theme for my month listing personality traits (good or bad) and to have fun with this.. I figure there may be some very raw moments in this as well as opportunities to dig deep, share, become vulnerable and laugh with everyone.
C – Clumsy
I have a special way of tripping over my feet
Then I laugh at myself, because I won’t feel “de-feet”
If it were not for wine spilled, I may be a drunk
Instead more is staining the tablecloths in colourful chunks
If my sweetheart has coffee, he knows to hide it ten feet away
I’m a magnet for knocking it over each day
If a loved one is bruised, even my gentlest caress
Will find the place of the aching, causing a “loving” distress
I put things away in their own special place
But when I need to return, the memory’s gone without trace
I spend hours looking for something that’s in front of my nose
In the place I first looked, though it seemed not to be close
I forget my deadlines, I lose my lists
I drive myself nuts, I think you’ve got the gist
Absent minded or scattered, no matter the name
I’m clumsy in all that I do, and almost always at blame
